Part of this song is about the long trip from Kentucky to LA. It took me three days, mostly because I stopped to sleep. If I had a travel partner, maybe we could have made it in half the time. I intended to come to LA and kick as much as I could.

Most people come to LA with big dreams and leave without nothing. I got to be on a Comedy Central show for a bit and worked for a rock star for a few months. And my songwriting improved a lot. All things considered, I didn't do too bad.
